Happy International Mother Language Day

The Haiti Lab and co-director Jacques Pierre want to celebrate International Mother Language Day! This special observance was established by the General Conference of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Nov., 1999. The UN has since called upon Member States “to promote the preservation and protection of all languages used by peoples of the world” (http://www.un.org/en/events/motherlan...).
