Airing our Dirty Laundry: Towards a Legible Anthropology
- Installation
The Words-We-Write quilt displays commonly (overly)used anthropological jargon in black and grey letters on a white background. The words featured in the quilt came from a compilation of 10 years' worth of article titles from the journal "Cultural Anthropology," as well as from several conversations with anthropologists in the process of writing their dissertations. The World-We-Write-In quilt spells out realities of the world around us in bright-colored letters on a black background.
