The Russ Prize is the top honor worldwide in bioengineering and is one of three Prizes awarded by the United States’ National Academy of Engineering that are collectively known as the “Nobel Prizes of Engineering.” The Russ Prize is awarded biennially and the other two Prizes are awarded annually; only 15 persons have received the Russ Prize since the inception of the awards program in 2001.
