Cancer Health Disparities Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Co-PI, A Home-based Motivational Exercise Program for African American Breast Cancer Survivors. Conducted a 16-week pilot study for a progressive walking and strength training exercise intervention with weekly phone calls utilizing motivational interviewing to enhance behavior change. Project Manager, Community outreach wellness program for under-served breast cancer survivors. Coordinated and assisted with exercise, nutrition and emotional management workshops in collaboration with community partners throughout North Carolina. Assisted with grant development, progress reports and final grant reports. Developed a research project which addressed physical activity behaviors among group participants of the educational workshop series.
