National American Association of Radiation Oncology · 2017 The ASTRO Fellow designation (FASTRO) is awarded based on ASTRO membership, service to ASTRO and contributions to the field of radiation oncology. Generally, the required length of membership in ASTRO is 15 years, however, individuals with less than 15 years of membership who have contributed substantial service to ASTRO may be considered for fellowship. In addition, commendable contributions in one of four possible pathways to becoming a Fellow – leadership/service, research, patient care and education – is required. More about this award
