Jaybird O'berski
Assistant Professor of the Practice in the Department of Theater Studies

Jaybird O’Berski (M.F.A., Carnegie Mellon University/Moscow Art Theatre School) is an assistant professor at Duke where he teaches acting, movement, improv and special topics like Black Theatre Workshop and Shakespeare Studio. Jaybird is artistic director of The Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern and an associate artistic director of Manbites Dog Theater. He also runs Incubator International Actor Training, a non-profit freelance workshop that connects actors across the world. His work has been seen in New York City, Chicago, Seattle, Moscow (Russia), San Miguel Allende (Mexico), Port-au-Prince (Haiti), Beijing, Chengdu & Shanghai (China), Maseru (Lesotho) and Nairobi (Kenya).
