Henry Hsien-Chun Tseng
Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Tseng is a board-certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, and general diseases. He is skilled in glaucoma laser and incisional surgical therapies, and also performs cataract surgery.

Dr. Tseng is dedicated to both clinical and leading-edge laboratory research into the mechanism of vision loss in glaucoma. His research includes determining the molecular and cellular function of optineurin in normal-pressure glaucoma, as well as exploring similarities between glaucoma and neurodegenerative diseases of the brain. The ulti­mate research goal is to develop novel therapies and techniques for earlier detection of glaucoma.
