Institute of Policy Studies 50th Anniversary events. October 1, 2013

Invited Lectures ; Ariel Dorfman and others ; I participated in two parts of the weekend. One was where I spoke at a celebration of and paid tribute to the life of filmmaker, writer, and longtime IPS Fellow Saul Landau on October 12. The second was where I was featured in a conversation with E. Ethelbert Miller of Howard University, who is a poet, literary activist and IPS Board Chairperson, on October 13. Our panel about literary activism, titled “The Role of Artists in Social Change” and which was part of the Ideas into Action Festival, showcased our work and the role of artists in political change.
