New Paradigms, Old Problems. September 22, 2012
Invited Lectures ; Sarah Deutsch ; New transnational paradigms have shifted the way we understand developments within nations, but often have been less adept at centering analytics of race and gender and experiences, in particular, of women. This paper gives not only a critique of those approaches, but examples of how stories are transformed bringing together new paradigms and gendered understandings of particular pivotal moments, centering the experience of women.
