SPH modelling of water waves

Advances in computational power have permitted the use of Lagrangian particle methods to model fluids, particularly separated flows and free surface flows with splashing. Here we present a smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) approach to a numerical wave tank, capable of studying several types of waves impinging on structures and walls. © 2001 American Society of Civil Engineers.
