Anonymous design

Journal Article

Some designs that may be anonymous on a store shelf do in fact have an inventor's name associated with them on a patent. If the inventor is an employee, then all patent rights are typically by prior agreement transferred to the employer. Whether the employee/inventor receives any compensation specific to the invention varies greatly from company to company. Whoever that person or those persons are or work for, they are not likely to receive any extraordinary compensation and certainly no royalties that might ultimately be manufactured and sold. Sometimes all an inventor receives is a pat on the back, a certificate of recognition, or a one-time bonus.
