Ruptured splenic artery aneurysm: An unusual late complication following pancreas transplantation

The vascular complications following pancreas transplantation have been well described and largely involve either re-operation for hemorrhage or vascular thrombosis. We describe herein a ruptured aneurysm of the transplanted splenic artery 6 years following surgery in a nonfunctioning graft as an unusual vascular complication.
