On-demand optical properties of quantum emitters using plasmonic nanoantennas

© 2014 IEEE. We demonstrate a colloidally synthesized and tunable plasmonic platform for giant fluorescence enhancement and greatly enhanced spontaneous emission rates of embedded fluorophores. Full-wave simulations incorporating the nanoscale environment accurately predict the experimentally observed emission dynamics.
