Palgrave Studies in the History of Emotions

Publication ,  Book
Lemmings, D

This new series of monographs and edited collections covers a dynamic field of study - the history of emotions. The series will include work that re-evaluates past definitions of emotions; re-conceptualizes theories of emotional ‘development’ through history; examines the unfolding practices of everyday life that embody emotional norms and ideals; undertakes research into the genesis and effects of mass emotions; and employs a variety of humanities disciplines and methodologies. In this way, it aims to produce a new interdisciplinary history of the emotions in Europe between 1100 and 2000.
