Taming blackbody radiation with MEMS metamaterials

© 2015 IEEE. MEMS based metamaterials are an ideal architecture to provide dynamic electromagnetic properties in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum. We detail several realizations of infrared MEMS metamaterials and discuss potential applications.
