In an effort to describe the demographic and clinical characteristics of nonspeaking brain-injured patients, data was obtained on 24 parameters during the assessment, management, and follow-up phases of a service delivery program. The information obtained should assist professionals, reimbursing agencies, manufacturers, and vendors with a better perspective of the needs and types of services that should be available and provided to the nonspeaking brain-injured population. © 1987, Informa UK Ltd.
