A Constraint on the Zeros of Ternary Polynomials

Information on the location of the zeros of polynomials with coefficients in {0,1,–1} is useful in the study of some structures for the VLSI implementation of FIR digital filters. This letter shows that those zeros are confined to a ring-like region of the complex plane. © 1987 IEEE
