An update on the efficacy of newer immunosuppressive regimens in cardiac transplantation

The therapeutic options now available allow the clinician to tailor the therapeutic regimen for the individual patient. On the basis of the side effect profile of each medication and the individual risks faced by the patient, the clinician can now design a regimen that will give adequate immunosuppression and minimize side effects. © 2004 Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.
