Technology based strategies to enhance the therapeutic ratio

In radiation oncology, the ultimate objective is to maximize tumor control while minimizing normal tissue complication (i.e., optimizing the therapeutic ratio). Advances in modern technology have continued to push the envelope in terms of maximizing the therapeutic ratio for radiation oncology patients through a variety of means.
