When you arrive, you discover that the wound is actually a degloving of the pubic area with a large laceration and partial scrotal avulsion. Suddenly you are not so confident about what to do next. Many general surgeons will be deployed for extended periods of time without the assistance of a urologic surgeon. This chapter addresses the basic evaluation and management of lower genitourinary trauma for the surgeon when no urologist is available.
