Universal turn-on dynamics of superconducing nanowire single-photon detectors

We model the turn-on dynamics of superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs), predicting that the rising edge of the readout signal encodes photon number, nanowire length and detector bias current, and experimentally verify these predictions.
