A simple method for the synthesis of highly oriented potassium-doped tungsten oxide nanowires

A technique to produce highly oriented potassium-doped tungsten oxide nanowires by heating W metal and potassium iodide was presented. This method was much easier than other methods and can be easily scaled up to prepare a larger amount of material. This novel technique was also expected to be applicable to the preparation of highly oriented nanowires made with other materials.
