Hypersensitive Transition Probability in Tris(l,3-diphenyl-l,3-propanedionato)aquolanthanides(III)

Experimental oscillator strengths are found for f → f electronic transitions in solid-state tris(1,3-diphenyl-1,3- propanedionato)aquolanthanides(III) and used in the determination of Judd-Ofelt parameters. The dynamic coupling model is employed to predict the electric dipole intensity of certain hypersensitive transitions. Theoretical calculations concerning hypersensitivity are compared with experimental findings. © 1981, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
