Synthesis and molecular structures of R(Me3CCH2)2In · E(SiMe3)3 (R=Me3CCH2, E = P or As; R = Me, E = P).

Combining P(SiMe3)3 or As(SiMe3)3 with (Me3CCH2)3In in a 1:1 mole ratio yields simple adducts (Me3CCH2)3In·P(SiMe3)3 (I) and (Me3CCH2)3In·As(SiMe3)3 (II), respectively. Addition of (Me3CCH2)2InCl to a diethyl ether solution of LiP(SiMe3)2 produces Me(Me3CCH2)2In·P(SiMe3)3 (III). X-ray crystal structures have been determined for compounds (I), (II) and (III). © 1994.
