Consideration of the solar energy component of the National Energy Plan. The Plan recognizes the potential of solar energy technology to share increased burden on nonrenewable resources imposed upon by a sustained economic growth. Federal government has demonstrated confidence in solar energy by proposing to undertake a three-year program of spending up to 100 million dollars for installation of solar equipment in federal buildings. Additional funding is proposed to accelerate the development of economic photovoltaic systems, biomass, small wind systems, solar cooling, and other solar technologies.
