The curvature effects on bifurcating coronary artery flow were discussed. A mathematical model was developed that employed the modified Navier-Stokes equations to describe the flow in a time-dependent geometry with large externally imposed boundary motion. The results showed that the bifurcation effect dominated in the proximal region of the daughter vessels.
