EFFECT OF MICROWAVE RADIATION (1. 0 GHz) ON THE BLOOD-BRAIN BARRIER IN DOGS.
Utilizing an accepted pharmacological approach to the problem of evaluating the integrity of blood-brain barrier (BBB), the authors evaluated dogs following microwave radiation at 1. 0-GHz frequency and herein report their findings. The method involved cannulation of the cisterna magna and the femoral vein which permitted simultaneous sampling of the CSF and venous blood at regular intervals.
