Sustained and stable propagation was simulated in a ring of 20 cardiac cells with Di Francesco-Noble membrane kinetics and connected with elevated junction resistances. The action potential propagated around the ring at least three times with no noticeable change in the action potential shape in about 2.32 sec each time, or 0.116 sec/cell. These results demonstrate a circuit of reentry at the cellular level.
