The many and the few

The views of Adrian Bejan about the principles of the Second Law of Thermodynamics, discovered by Sadi Carnot, are discussed. The principle defines that everything flows one way, from high to low, such as water flows through a pipe from high pressure to low pressure. Heat flows from high temperature to low temperature. Sadi Carnot, a graduate from the École Polytechnique, who came to the National Conservatory of Arts and Professions (CNAM) for studying steam engine. He identified the principle by analyzing previous discoveries of thermodynamics in the machines that were on display at the CNAM.
