Fungal infections

Journal Article (Review)

Fungi are important infectious agents in the immunocompromised population. The increasing number of patients with fungal infections has led to a reevaluation of the epidemiology and treatment of these pathogens. Recently we have seen the emergence of several novel fungal pathogens and the development of new strategies and drugs to both treat and prevent various fungal infections.
