XPM-induced pulse delay and advancement in optical fiber

Cross-phase-modulation-induced pulse delay or advancement in an optical fiber is analyzed. It is shown that XPM and group-velocity mismatch can lead to controllable pulse delay or advancement with negligible frequency shift. © 2005 Optical Society of America.
