Numerical study of slow light via stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fibers

We study numerically Stokes pulse propagation in a continuous-wave-pumped Brillouin fiber amplifier. Time delay and pulse broadening of the Stokes pulse are studied in the small-signal and saturation regimes. ©2005 Optical Society of America.
