AUTOMATIC PROGRAMMING SYSTEM TO CREATE MEDICALLY-ORIENTED REPORT GENERATORS.
Journal Article
A medical information system must be able to meet the demand for new reports. The authors present the advantages and disadvantages of several techniques which allow the user to write medically oriented reports without programming. The TMR report generator has been used to write reports for such areas as cardiac catheterization procedures, radionuclide tests, pathology reports, pacemaker implant procedures and surgical notes. Techniques are presented which allow users to create and maintain medically oriented reports without requiring classical computer programming.
