A 42-year-old female with amaurosis fugax in the right eye and an ipsilateral postganglionic congenital Horner's syndrome was found to have fibromuscular dysplasia of the right internal carotid artery on arteriography. The proposed etiological mechanisms of arterial fibromuscular dysplasia are reviewed in relation to this case.
