Juxtaglomerular cell (JGC) tumors are a rare but surgically treatable form of hypertension. Patients are typically young and present with severe hypertension, elevated peripheral renin activity, and secondary hyperaldosteronism. Selective renal vein renins lateralize in approximately 50% of cases. Traditional treatment has been nephrectomy, but partial nephrectomy or tumor enucleation is a viable option in selected cases.
