Propagation under the influence of interstitial potentials
Conference Paper
Interactions between two electrically active fibers were simulated. The fibers were close together and within a restricted volume, so that significant extracellular (interstitial) as well as transmembrane potentials were present, but the fibers were not otherwise interconnected. The propagation velocity in either fiber was found to be markedly affected when the other fiber was active.
