Treatment of hypersensitivity reactions during anaesthesia and surgery

Journal Article

Although the immune system functions to provide host defense, it can respond inappropriately to produce hypersensitivity or allergic reactions. However, with a high index of suspicion, prompt recognition with appropriate and aggressive therapy can help to avoid a disastrous outcome.
