Reading assignments in nursing courses: Some guidelines for faculty

This article reviews the literature on assigned reading in prelicensure nursing programs and examines applicable studies from other disciplines. The authors provide recommendations that faculty members can use to make reading assignments an effective learning tool in nursing courses. © 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
