Production of K* (1300) and K* (1400) resonances in K+ p interactions at 3.5 GeV/c

In a recently completed experiment using 3.54 GeV/c K+ mesons in the BNL 80″ chamber, we have investigated the two prong + Vo topology for resonance production. We have found evidence for the K*(1300) with a narrow width with Kππ decay modes and the K*(1400) with Kπ, K*π, Kρ{variant} and Kω decay modes. We present resonance positions, widths, cross sections and branching ratios for these two K* resonances. © 1969.
