Lineshape asymmetry and frequency shift in a motionally narrowed Zeeman resonance

A frequency shift non-linear with g-factor is found for a motionally narrowed Zeeman resonance in a spherical cell. Using single Legendre polynomial gradients, low-order even terms cause the worst shift, with line assymetry remaining small. © 1970.
