Split-ring resonator enhanced terahertz antenna

An electric split-ring resonator is used to enhance the performance of a photoconductive dipolar antenna based terahertz transmitter. Enhancement is observed near and limited to the resonant frequency of the electric split-ring resonator. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
