Rats were fed lysine and threonine deficient and supplemented rice diet for 15 days and given endosulphan (5 mg/kg body weight) on terminal two days. Aniline hydroxylase activity, proteins, cholesterol, phospholipids and triglycerides were assayed in hepatic SER and RER. Hepatic SER aniline hydroxylase activity was reduced in rats fed the deficient diet, but the administration of endosulphan increased the enzyme activity in SER of both the deficient and the supplemented group. Endosulphan administration also increased hapatic SER phospholipid and cholesterol contents. The increased levels of triglycerides in SER and RER of rats fed the deficient diet were reduced to supplemented group level on endosulphan administration.
