Cataract documentation across systems of care

Purpose: Describe cataract surgery documentation across systems of care: 1) Fee for service (FFS); 2) group/staff model item, and 3) IPA model managed care Methods: Review of at least 92 chats from each system of care of patient undergoing cataract surgery in 1Ç 94. Results: Significant differences in documentation patterns exist across the 3 systems of care, with IPA model care having the lowest documentation levels in some important ireas Conclusion Important differences occur in documentation of adherence to cataract surgery guidelines across systems of care.
