Publication ,  Chapter

Genomics has significantly advanced our understanding of human populations and disease, enabling development of improved predictive and diagnostic tools. The integration of genomic medicine into routine clinical practice will require careful consideration and potential revisions of current policies pertaining to the conduct of genomics research and practice of personalized medicine. In addition, enhanced awareness and knowledge of the principles and practices of genomic medicine will be needed among all stakeholders, including healthcare practitioners, policymakers, patients, and the general public.
