Raman spectroscopy in bio-materials is complicated by fluorescence and scattering. We have developed a multimodal, multiplex spectrometer that overcomes these difficulties. We are currently constructing a second generation prototype for in-vivo Raman spectroscopy of tissue. © 2005 Optical Society of America.
