A case of cutaneous sporotrichosis involving the auricle of a brick mason is reported. Despite the infrequency of such an infection, sporotrichosis must be considered in the differential diagnosis of perichondritis. The occupational associations with Sporothrix schenckii are reviewed and the relationship with bricks is emphasized.
