We implement optical spectroscopy to study charged excitons (trions) in modulation-doped GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells. We observe for the first time several new trions: the positively charged exciton, the light-hole negatively charged exciton and the triplet state of the negatively charged exciton. © 1995 Società Italiana di Fisica.
