The authors develop an approach for introducing bosons into gauge theories as composite states of fermions. It is scale and gauge invariant from the outset and utilizes invariant regularization procedures. This results in the acquisition of gauge-covariant kinetic energy by the bosons and the growth of coupling constants and masses. Relationships among the coupling constants and masses are derived
