OBJECTIVE: The process of revising a manuscript and successfully responding to the comments of reviewers and the Editor can be difficult. This article provides some practical steps to guide authors in this task and attain publication of their manuscript. CONCLUSION: Following the principles outlined in this article will enable authors to successfully meet the challenges of manuscript revision and hasten the route to publication.
