Effects of a training program: older persons caring for the elderly

Older persons trained to care for the fragile elderly later had more employment at higher pay than similar persons who had not yet been trained. Though graduates of the program had to curtail their social lives and their health problems became more evident, they maintained their high level of psychological well being, improved their self perception, and improved their economic position.
